I’m a completist: I need to understand every little thing about things. Whether it’s the Motown Sound, the TV show LOST, or a complex and technical design brief, I’m trying to dive a little deeper than normal. I thrive on identifying nuances and connecting them to a bigger picture to help understand context.
Context helps me paint a picture of deep understanding of users and their needs in my work. Traditionally trained as a graphic designer, my work is some variation or combination of both interaction and visual design; often times I’m writing code and conducting research, too.
I spend my free time on a bicycle, in hockey skates, at the Tractor Tavern, binge-watching television, and playing music in one too many bands. I’m not afraid of bandsaws, baselines, or karaoke. I like to use my hand to tell people where I’m from.
I like to jam. I use some social media. I think you can tell a lot about a person by their playlists. Check out one of mine.
